Looking Forward to our
Retreats and Quiet Days 2011

January 28-30

A retreat for those who work in the City of London.

Canon David Parrott

Many people commute into the City from Essex and East London and elsewhere in the home counties to work. Most of us struggle to make sense of how to live out our faith at work. After 25 years of ministry in Chelmsford Diocese, with people who commute to work in London, David Parrott has now moved to the other end of the line, and both lives and works in the heart of the City of London's financial and civic district.

This retreat is an opportunity for those who work in the City of London to step back from the business of life and to explore how we live out our faith from Monday to Friday.

David is the Guild Vicar of St Lawrence Jewry - next - Guildhall and Education Adviser for the Ecclesiastical Law Society

November 25-27

Homecoming

Dilly Baker

A retreat for all literature lovers. Taking the theme of homecoming, we explore what it means to come home -to ourselves, to one another and to our God. Participants are encouraged to bring with them extracts from novels that resonate with the theme and ample opportunity will be given to sharing our thoughts and experiences of homecoming.

Dilly Baker is an Anglican Priest in North Yorkshire and runs 'The Open Table' fusing spirituality and personal development. She is increasingly known nationally as a Retreat leader and is author of 'A Place at the Table: liturgies and resources for a Christ centred hospitality'.
