Watching and Waiting – Advent Weekend Retreat
Friday, 20th November @ 5:00 pm - Sunday, 22nd November @ 2:30 pm£75
Led by the Venerable Pete Spires, Archdeacon of Knowsley and Sefton.
A virtual opportunity to ponder and take time to reflect on the significance of Advent in this time of pandemic. Learn about the importance of looking and listening for the God who is always coming to us.
The retreat will be a mixture of devotional talks, silence and worship (optional). There will also be an opportunity to talk to the retreat leader individually about what God might be saying to you.
Although we will be unable to gather together at Pleshey, it would be worth thinking about how you will use the time when we are not on Zoom so that you can create space for God.
Ven Pete Spiers has been Archdeacon of Knowsley and Sefton in the Diocese of Liverpool since 2015. He was born and brought up in Liverpool and has served a variety of parishes within the Diocese over the past 34 years. He is a spiritual director and enjoys seeing people deepening their faith and being equipped to live as disciples in their daily lives. He follows Liverpool FC and enjoys real ale and researching his family history. He has never led a retreat on Zoom before but is looking forward to it and hoping that you will join him!
Cost: £75 per person
