New General Manager appointed

The Revd Graham Dowling has been appointed as the new General Manager of the Diocesan House of Retreat at Pleshey.

Commenting on his appointment, Graham said:

"It is very exciting to be returning to the House in this new role, having previously set up the programme of daily prayer and established the network of day chaplains.

"I am eagerly anticipating bringing my experience to this role in enabling the House to fulfil its vocation as a place of prayer and a spiritual resource for Essex, East London and further afield.”

The Chair of the Advisory Board for the House of Retreat, the Venerable Elizabeth Snowden said:

"The House plays a key role in the mission and ministry of our diocese. It is a place of welcome and hospitality for all who seek peace and refreshment. It therefore gives me great pleasure to welcome the Revd Graham Dowling as the new General Manager.

"He will hold day-to-day responsibility for the management of the House and its staff to ensure that it continues to be a place of spiritual encounter and refreshment for many."

Graham will begin his new role in June.
