Friends Quiet Day

  • The Diocesan House Of Retreat The Street CM3 1HA United Kingdom (map)

- an opportunity to meet with one another

Led by Rev. Julia Lacey, an Associate Curate at Chelmsford Cathedral .

In 1932, Lucy Menzies, Warden of the House and a friend of Evelyn Underhill, founded The Friends who, to this day, continue to play a very important and vital part in the ministry of our House of Retreat.

The day will begin with refreshments being served from 9.30 am. This event is free to attend for Friends, although donations towards the work of the House would be greatly appreciated. This is an opportunity to meet with one another again and share memories of what the Friends mean to us and we do hope you feel able to join us either for a day. It is a bring and share lunch.

If you are not already a Friend, might you consider joining? (Friends make a small yearly donation if they are able and often help in welcoming others to the House for Retreats and offering their gifts and skills in other way. They have regular gatherings with worship, fellowship and a speaker.

Book your free ticket below. (If you would like to combine this with an overnight stay please contact The Retreat House office direct 01245 237251)
