A Quiet Day exploring the concept of God as Potter
How you really see God in relationship to yourself, can influence your trust levels in him in daily life. This day explores the concept of God as the Potter with the starting point of Jeremiah 18:1-6. With short opening and closing worship, the rest of the day is divided into 3 sessions, each exploring that relationship, with a short teaching slot about different aspects of the process of making a pot followed by quiet time to reflect on questions, bible passages and an opportunity to draw or play with some clay if it helps you. (Not compulsory) Most of the day will be quietly reflective but there will be opportunities to share if you desire and a talking lunch.
Jackie is NOT a potter which aids the comparison with God as the one we can trust. This quiet day is for everyone - you do not need to be creative, but simply ready to grow in your walk with God your Maker.
Jackie is a retired priest, still active with permission to officiate. She is also an experienced Spiritual Director/Companion who loves to see people grow in their walk with God. She regularly meets with individuals to listen and encourage them as well as taking retreats and quiet days.
The day can be combined with an overnight stay or two at the House. If you would like this please contact the Retreat House direct 01245 237251.
