'Passionate Encounters'

  • The Diocesan House Of Retreat The Street CM3 1HA United Kingdom (map)

a day of reflection for Holy Week

Through re-visiting the Gospel record of some of Jesus’ encounters with others during the last week of his earthly life, we explore our personal and corporate capacities for celebration, closeness, confusion and condemnation and open ourselves to what God may want to show us about our own lives of discipleship as we prepare for Easter.

Archdeacon Vanessa is due to retire as Archdeacon Harlow at the end of March 2023. An experienced spiritual director, retreat leader, writer and teacher, with a broad understanding of the Church, she endeavours to combine insights from Scripture, the tradition and experience to help us hear and understand what God might be saying to us in our own day.

This event is open to everyone. (If you would like to combine this with an overnight stay please contact The Retreat House office direct 01245 237251)
