Rivers of Grace

  • The Diocesan House Of Retreat The Street CM3 1HA United Kingdom (map)

- a quiet day exploring how rivers can help us reflect on God's grace and our own spiritual journey.

Led by the Revd Andy Colebrooke. This Quiet Day will offer a gentle space to step aside from busy routines, listen to God, and rest. Through three short talks, we will follow the journey of a chalk stream, from its quiet source to the open sea, as a way to reflect on the twists and turns of our own lives. There will be plenty of time for personal quiet, prayer, and reflection, with a few simple handouts available to help guide your thoughts.

Andy has worked on a nuclear reactor, been a teacher, and has now spent 30 years in ordained ministry in Chelmsford Diocese. His two books Science and Religion: The Spirituality of James Clerk Maxwell (Grove Books) and Thoughts of God: A Lent Course (Circle Books) reflect his varied background.

If you wish to have add an overnight stay or two, please contact The Retreat House office direct 01245 237251.
